December, 2005 Progress Report

We had the introductory meeting for our new PACE EH initiative Wednesday night, December 14. We plan to focus this assessment on the Marine Ecosystem. The purpose of the meeting was to introduce the PACE EH process to a group of potential assessment team members. The attendees represented a balance between local citizens and officials representing city, county, and state government.

After a presentation to introduce PACE EH, the group discussed ways to define “community” for this project, discussed the capacity of the community to support this project, and agreed on a next meeting date to continue discussion as well as the formation of our assessment team.
