GENERAL SUBJECT MATTER TO BE CONSIDERED: Permitting and approval standards of onsite sewage treatment systems that provide treatment other than a septic tank, such as performance based treatment systems, aerobic treatment units, and innovative systems. These topics are currently regulated by the following rule sections:

This is a follow-up to a similar conference call/workshop held in June 2010 with predominantly manufacturers' representatives in attendance. Draft rule language has been considered by the Department's Technical Review and Advisory Panel, most recently on December 02, 2010, and will again be considered on October 11, 2011.   2. Discussion of rule proposal for product approval standards
    • Innovative Systems/PBTS-design standards (see TRAP issue 08-09 and 10-11 now combined and revised to issue 10-11)
  3. Discussion on suggestions for possible future revisions to construction standards for PBTS and ATUs, such as accessibility for monitoring
  4. Discussion on suggestions for possible future revisions to operating permit requirements, such as maintenance entity certification and qualification, specific maintenance requirements, monitoring requirements
