Florida Arbovirus Surveillance (January 1, 2012- February 4, 2012)

Three positive Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus infections in horses were reported in 2012. Fourteen sentinel chickens tested positive for antibodies to West Nile virus, 4 to Eastern Equine Encephalitis virus, and 3 to St. Louis Encephalitis virus.  For details, please see the weekly surveillance data.  Levy County is under mosquito-borne illness advisory.
