This program seeks to protect and promote the health of everyone in Florida by investigating aquatic toxins' impact on human health.

Aquatic Toxins Hotline

The Department of Health, in cooperation with the Florida Poison Information Center-Miami, established a Hotline to assist in surveillance activities. This hotline is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and is staffed by professional nurses, toxicologists, and pharmacologists trained to assist citizens with their health and safety concerns.

Report suspected illnesses related to aquatic toxins exposures/harmful algea to the Harmful Algal Bloom Hotline at 1-888-232-8635

Report fish kills to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commision at 1-800-636-0511
